I am assuming this is photoshopped, especially given that in [http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Image:Hitler_with_other_German_soldiers.jpg|this photo] his moustache is different.

No, this isn’t photoshopped. It was validated in the book “Study in Tyranny” by Alan Bullock.
