I guess if New Zealand First had made it back into Parliament they’d just be wrapping up coalition talks about now and either Clark or Key would be telling us what a great Governor General Winston was going to be.

Governor of *what*? Can’t think of too many of those positions and they all sound absurdly unsuited to Winston Peters…

in peter’s case it’s more like to be “absurdly suited”.

I just can’t see him turning into a harmless statesman and even then, how could you appoint him as GG with his history? Maybe to keep him out of your hair, but then it looks like even more of a farce! Gah, wish I could mentally kick him out of my head. Annoying.

i agree entirely. i say we pass a order in council stating that it is to ridiculous to countenance.
