Crowd-sourcing = incompetence + laziness

Filed under: general idiocy — danylmc @ 5:06 pm

Having come clean on that, if anyone wants to put together a montage of slow-motion footage of David Cunliffe set to Barber’s Adagio for Strings for me to post on the blog, I’d be very grateful.

  1. No but I will say that this clusterfuck of Labour is just up there with Debbie does Dallas as a classic of its genre.

  5. It is difficult not to be a troll when the entire Labour caucus thrusts itself over the bridge.

  6. The theme tune for Benny Hill or a 70′s German scat movie might be better.
This week has managed to elicit an emotion in me that I never thought would happen. Sympathy.
For Cunliffe for the way he has been treated and for Shearer for his continued umm problem and for the fact he is surrounded by spiteful children.

  7. How about “Gone in 60 Seconds-From Rusholme with Love”

Anyway yrs dealing with fractional tinpot inbred Somalia tribal warlords means Shearer is well qualified to lead the modern labour movement.

  8. But Simon, that’s the thing. It clearly doesn’t, because he’s not doing very well at it. Whether this is because Labour Party factions are more fractious than Somali warlords, or because he’s just not familiar with the world of civilian politics, I don’t know. But it isn’t working.

I’m guessing that dealing with Somali warlords involves a lot more individual charisma and talking people down from acts of extreme violence, and a lot less aggressive point scoring for the media to demonstrate that you’re on top of the issues. But if Steven Joyce comes into the chamber packing heat and ready to go mano a mano on Charles Chauvel, Shearer is probably the guy to deal with the situation.

  9. Tho if Gerry Brownlee starts threatening to get physical, then it’s every man for himself.

if it comes to that it’s “Game over, man, Game Over…”

  11. Brownlee is more likely to have his Gamorrean guards throw you to the Rancor than lift a finger.

  12. Physical like Bill English in a boxing ring, or physical like Olivia Newton John in a gymnasium?
