Ball

Filed under: art — danylmc @ 1:26 pm

The Young Nats had their ball in the weekend. The photostream of the event is here. Social Development Minister Paula Bennett was in attendence, along with the PM and the Justice Minister, but I mentioned Bennett first because:

  1. To be fair Paula Bennet has a great self image. She sees herself as a sylph-like Glamour Queen. And where we see her as slightly ridiculous in the first 4 pics, she sees herself as alluring and truly sexy. “Why don’t you come up and see me sometime” her pouting lips seem to say.

  3. @Michael, when you use Nazi imagery, your comment/intent is per definition Nazi related.

  4. Actually I see someone enjoying herself and having fun. Pretty harmless and ho hum.
C’mon, it was a National Party party. FFS if you cannot party at your party where else do you party?

  6. Wow. That page is just the gift that keeps on giving. Never has so much hair gel been gathered in one place. And that’s just the lads…

  12. The gallery on the “NZ Young Nats” facebook page is well worth checking out, play spot the darkie (waiters don’t count!), see the afore mentioned hair gel, and embrace the cringe.

And incase anyone is feeling sorry for her, just remember, privacy breaches, bullying pregnant women on the unemployment benefit, her most recent outburst, infact nearly everything this woman has done. She is below contempt.

Here’s a funny thing.. the Whiteys have put 9 Maori into the current Parliament, some there via an electorate vote and 2 of the last three new electoral candidates in winnable seats are Maori. Oh, and Paula is there as some sort of senior star for the Nats.

Would you care to compare with Labour for Maori in general winnable seats?

And is a gay Maori there to represent the vast majority of Maori, or the gay community?

But thats a bit unfair, Parata and Bridges are there less because they are Maori and more to represent the important dufus community.

  14. There’s no law in NZ about discrimination of the basis of dufusness. And Labour and the Greens believe there is a large dufus population, hence attempts to regulate salt/sugar/fat content of foods, RightCar (seriously, does anyone else sit there thinking “Hey: I’m on a modest income, but after seeing this, my next car is DEF gonna be a Volvo SUV!”), WOF for rentals.
