Haunting youtube clip o’ the day

Filed under: movies — danylmc @ 3:24 pm

Anne Frank house has posted footage of the famous author up on Youtube:

July 22 1941. The girl next door is getting married. Anne Frank is leaning out of the window of her house in Amsterdam to get a good look at the bride and groom. It is the only time Anne Frank has ever been captured on film. At the time of her wedding, the bride lived on the second floor at Merwedeplein 39. The Frank family lived at number 37, also on the second floor.

  2. Yes, thats what struck me – Anne Frank long before she was even known – Like that photo of the crowd in Vienna on the outbreak of World War I, where the image of a young big-moustached Hilter was finally found.

  3. Which reminded me: I spotted the Google Earth/Maps photography car parked in Ngaio Gorge yesterday arvo. Does this mean they’ve come back to do us in a half decent resolution this time?
