The Dim-Post

Girl I can thrill you more than any ghost would ever dare try

Filed under: books — danylmc @ 8:38 am

The book launch is tonight. Details here. I’ll be on Kim Hill tomorrow morning at about 9:40. And no one’s solved the riddle yet. You’d think Dim-Post readers have better things to do than wander around Wellington in the dead of winter looking for clues, but we all know that’s not the case.

  1. Have any of the Wellington readers tried stalking Danyl so that they can find the book when he goes to check whether it’s still there or not? Possibly easier than solving the riddle?

  2. No thoughts on the Maori Party leadership change? On Shearer being on two months’ notice? Or how us chicks evidently need a helping hand to be elected to Parliament?

  3. I thought the general consensus was that the riddle was a dog’s breakfast.

  4. How damnably rude of you Hugh. Go away and take up habitation under a bridge if you so feel the need to behave so trollishly.

I am hopeless at riddles, which along with my dislike of opera probably makes me vulnerable to public service restructures.

    Is “Trollish” a word?

PS I am with Ataahua, throw your community a bone Danyl!

  6. Vicbooks (Pipitea) apparently won’t get my copy till next week so I may have to try your riddle… …Who the frack is Helena?

  7. Yeah, Danyl, your riddle sucks we haven’t all been immediately able to solve it.

  8. My cunning plan is to wait until I finally visit Wellington for Beervana, I am hoping this will coincide with Danyl giving up and telling us the solution. I have pre-ordered a copy anyway, just in case.

  9. “But I’ve hidden a copy of the book somewhere in central Wellington ” oh seriously?
Its EASIER to wait for the E-book and pay and order it from the comfort of your bed with the electric blanket on.

    Know your audience…

Sadly indicative of the core readership.

And greener, too. That appeals to the core readership. Even me.

  13. I was sure the title was a White Stripes lyric (No faith in Medicine), but Google put me straight.
