The Dim-Post

General Bookwhoredom

The launch is next week on Tuesday at Unity Books at 6PM. The Facebook event page is here.

They have an interview with me up here.

You can preorder the book here. And apparently the official release date is tomorrow, so from then you can just plain buy it there, or in the shops. I’m told the e-book is being made and will be available on MeBooks and eventually Amazon so I’ll try and post an update when that happens.

I don’t ask you guys for donations, or sell ‘Dim’ tee-shirts or caps, although now that I’ve said that out loud, maybe I should? Anyway, if you do like the blog and want to show your appreciation then buying my book would be a really nice way to do that. Thanks for reading.

Nice to see Robert Irwin mentioned. Got around to reading Satan Wants Me a few months back, got a similar kick out of it as I did from Unspeakable Secrets/

  7. Do you get more money if we get it from a particular retailer? It’s easier for me to get it from mightyape, but I’ll get it from somewhere else if it means you’ll earn more.

  8. Just checked – I make the same royalty wherever the book is sold in NZ, less for overseas retail sales.

  10. Congrats on the new book. Enjoyed the interview too🙂 This is probably going to be an annoying question but is there going to be a Kindle version? I’m kind of attached to it…

  11. I’m in Dunedin this week.
Can you recommend a good (Independant) bookshop that might be stocking your tome?
Uni Books is the only one I’ve found so far…

  12. You sold at least one in Nelson today – picked a copy up from the bookseller who had a pile of them, well seven or so, on display. Looking forward to laughing as much as last time.

I don’t know, sorry. I don’t know Dunedin very well. Will ask the VUP folk tomorrow.

Thanks to everyone for buying the book – I’ll sign ’em at the book launch on Tuesday, if you want.

You’ve found Dunedin’s “good (Independant) bookshop” (note the singular). If they haven’t got it on the shelves yet, they certainly will do in the near future … especially if folks ask for it/order it in!

  16. Thanks for the encouragement to buy your book. I bought both, and have just finished the first, and found it to be most amusing. I particularly loved the honesty of the writing.
