  • My book is number one on the NZ bestseller list. Thanks to all those who bought it. You’re the real heroes! People who ask me if they can borrow a copy: not so much.
  • People have asked me about an eBook. You can buy one here. It doesn’t work on Kindle. Apparently it’ll be available on Amazon soon though.
  • Slightly unrelated. I watched Doctor Zhivago recently, and it struck me that the ‘Historical Epic’ now a dead genre, like the western. Pity that.
  • I don’t write about music much -I’m a fat man in my forties, I feel ridiculous trying to pretend to be hip – but I heard this Pacific Heights song on the radio this morning and liked it.

  1. Halfway through and loving it! Loved your first book too but this is even better. Got the ebook and am reading it just fine on the kindle app on my tablet, so it can be done.

  3. Works fine on my Kindle (ereader and the app). What’s equivalent for an ebook of a signed copy?

Are you reading this, Simon Sweetman?

  6. Nah, G, it doesn’t get any more dope (that’s the hip word for “hip” again (if you find yourself wondering whether it should be expressed in the comparative form then you are not dope)) than having TWO books in the Neilsen weekly bestseller list of NZ Fiction for Adults. Straight up!

  9. Not only are you top of the list, you have TWO books in the top ten. When did anyone else achieve that? Congratulations!

The Titanic seemed to do okay at the box office.
